ALAN STEIN, a Lexington, Kentucky native, brings a varied and storied career narrative to where he stands today. You may know him best as founder of the Lexington Legends, but his experience in business and community support dates back to his days at Henry Clay High School.
After officially leaving the Lexington Legends in 2012 and not one to “retire,” he embarked on a new endeavor in 2011 by founding SteinGroup, LLC, a consultancy with the objective of assisting others in “making business better,” SteinGroup’s motto.
He attributes his success and drive to a life-long ingrained commitment to serving others in central Kentucky. His passions include most prominently working to improve the lives of young people. In that light, he is active in and has worked closely with education boards and numerous nonprofits such as the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass. In his role as 2016 chair of the Commerce Lexington Board of Directors, he is dedicated to creating a better life for his fellow Lexingtonians through job creation and quality of life enhancement.
